You want to become a Java or software developer? Then this course is right for you! Learn the Java skills you need for an internship or entry level job in software development. 
In this course you will work on several hands-on projects. You build apps and deploy them. You work in a team of advanced java learners and teachers. Are you ready to start?

What you will learn

  1. Create a simple app

    • API design​

    • Springboot

    • REST

    • Dependency Injection

  2. Create a CRUD app​​

    • NoSQL, RDB concepts 

    • learn how to set up a db

    • learn how to connect to a db

    • SQL

  3. Create an app which runs processes

    • you will learn how to run threads, jobs

    • Concurrency​

    • Caching

    • Redis

    • work in a team: code review, give and receive feedback 

  4. Deploy your app on AWS

    • Micro Services​

    • Message Queues

    • Authentification and Authorization

    • Deploy on AWS

This course is right for you when...

  • you are able to understand and speak English

  • you have experience in self-study

  • you can commit at least 10 hours a week (classes + self-study)​ 80% attendance of the course is required for graduation.

  • you have a good understanding of Java (check out the course homepage of the Intro to Java course. You should be familiar with the concepts taught in this course). 

  • familiar with OOP, data structures and simple algorithms. 

  • you know how to use Git and IntelliJ
