HELP OUR STUDENTS BUILD A BRIGHTER FUTURE

To live up to our mission at ReDI School, we need support from volunteers from the tech community across Copenhagen to teach and mentor our students. 
 

​We are looking for a variety of volunteers who can bring their professional experience in to play to help our students grow. 

 

There is a way for you to get involved whether you are a developer, student or a professional in another field.


We a running a pilot project this fall, where we are offering our first three courses.  

 

1) Computer for Beginners
We are teaching this course in collaboration with Welcome House - an activity centre for refugees in Copenhagen. The focus of the course is to create digital literacy among the students.

 

Content: Learning to use computers and online services offered by the state, hereunder e-mail, NemID, e-boks and borger.dk.

Timing: Sundays at 14.00-17.00, from October 20th-November 24th
Location: Welcome House, Ottiliavej 1, Valby
Language: Danish with translation into farsi

2) Basic Computer Skills

We are teaching this course in collaboration with a local NGO in Copenhagen. The focus is on improving the students' digital skills and helping them communicate with the job market.

Content: Learning to use online services offered by the state and applications related to job search, herunder e-mail, NemID, e-boks, borger.dk, Word and Jobnet.

Timing: Wednesday at 17.30-20.30, from October 23rd-November 27th
Location: Jayway by Devoteam, Sjæleboderne 2, 4th floor, 1122 København K. 
Language: Danish with translation into arabic

3) Introduction to Coding
This course is for women who are curious about pursuing a career in tech. The focus is to give the students an understanding of coding and the use of it in the digital world.

 

Content: Learning about being a women in tech and understanding the fundamentals of coding through Scratch and JavaScript. 

Timing: Wednesday at 17.30-20.30, from October 23rd-November 27th
Location: Jayway by Devoteam, Sjæleboderne 2, 4th floor, 1122 København K. 
Language: English without translation

We also need volunteers to facilitate workshops, mentor our students, help out at events and whatever you have to offer! Fill in the application form or meet us at one of our events to find out about possibilities to get involved. ​
