Course Overview

Pathfinder is a free, immersive training program for future Trailblazers. Over 12 weeks, participants will learn through live and asynchronous training. Pathfinder empowers anyone to learn in-demand skills, earn Salesforce credentials, connect with the Trailblazer Community, and pursue Salesforce ecosystem jobs as admins, developers, analysts, consultants, and more.

  • As a participant in the 12 week course, you’ll focus on learning technical and business skills to prepare you to earn your first Salesforce certifications.

    You’ll learn foundational Salesforce technical concepts through self-guided modules, live instruction, applied learning, and a final project. This learning will prepare you for the Salesforce Associate and the Salesforce Administrator certification exams, which you can take as part of the course. You can learn more about these certifications on the Salesforce Credentials website.

    You’ll also learn and practice key job search skills and explore different Salesforce careers.

    Job Readiness: Soft skills through career trainings geared towards preparing you for job applications & interviews, networking events and job fairs.

    You will learn from experts in the industry to start a career in tech.

    • You have technical acumen and computer savvy. Participants should be able to navigate multiple technical systems and asynchronous online training.

    • You are able to commit to the full duration of the program and complete core requirements, meaning: 80% live class attendance, project delivery at the end of the course, and complete 70% of the Trailmix. The estimated commitment for course + self-study is of around 10-15 hours per week.

    • You are ready to pursue a career in the Salesforce ecosystem and apply for a job upon program graduation.

    • you have English language proficiency (course materials, instruction, and exam are all delivered in English).

  • This course requires no specific preparation, but it is highly recommended that you get a preview of Salesforce and the type of content you’ll be learning. For that, you can register for Salesforce’s online learning platform (Trailhead), and complete this Trailmix.

    • You will have foundational Salesforce skills

    • You will have attempted the Salesforce Associate and Administrator exams

    • You will be ready to apply to technical, functional, and support careers in the Salesforce ecosystem

    • You will have access to a network of Salesforce professionals and Pathfinder graduates

  • • Career & Soft Skills Workshops, Company Visits

    • ReDI Mentorship Program (mentors in the IT industry)

    • ReDI Talent Pool (job listing platform)

    • SkillBuild self-paced eLearning (by IBM & ReDI)

    • You should expect to spend a minimum of 8 hours for career workshops or trainings during the semester.
