Future.Me: Inspiring young minds to imagine their future in tech

What do children dream of becoming in a world shaped by artificial intelligence and digital innovation? At ReDI School, our Future.Me project invites students to explore this question in a creative, hands-on way.

Future.Me is an educational excursion where children from different schools across Berlin come together to participate in career exploration workshops connected to AI, technology, and future professions. We place special emphasis on welcoming schools with a high migrant population and those with limited access to digital education opportunities. For many participants, this is their first chance to explore AI and imagine their future career paths in the digital world.

This project is made possible through Amazon Future Engineer support, whose commitment helps us open doors to digital education and future opportunities for young people who might otherwise not have access.

So far, we have reached more than 88 students toward our goal of 100, and with additional workshops planned through June, we are excited to continue expanding our impact.

Learning by creating

During the workshops, students dive into practical and creative activities such as:

• building their own websites using HTML & CSS

• exploring AI topics and future technologies

• reflecting on digital careers and the skills they need

Through these experiences, students gain confidence, creativity, and a clearer understanding of the opportunities available to them.

A warm welcome, a safe space to dream

Each workshop begins with a warm welcome  and often a cup of hot chocolate, creating a friendly atmosphere where students feel comfortable and inspired.

The sessions take place at KiezLab, a vibrant and welcoming space where young people can imagine themselves working in a future tech environment. For many, simply being in such a space makes their dreams feel more tangible and possible.

A team effort that makes impact possible

We are especially proud of our Curriculum Manager ‘’ Tiba ‘’ whose dedication made this project possible,  from recruiting schools and coordinating schedules to designing the learning experience and building strong collaborations.

Future.Me is just one way we connect young people with their future possibilities. We also offer Impact Days , one-day workshops during weekdays or school holidays,  where corporate volunteers can make a meaningful difference by introducing children and youth in Berlin to:

• future careers in tech and AI

• programming and digital creativity

• essential digital skills in a fun and engaging way

Together, we can empower the next generation with the confidence and skills they need to shape their futures.
