Course Overview

Fundamentals of UX Design.
Fundamentals of user research.
Analysis & synthesis with personas and user journey diagrams.
Problem statements, information architecture, and wire framing.
Fundamentals of visual design / user interface design.
Fundamentals of Figma.
Prototyping and user testing.
Design ethics and accessibility.
Job Readiness: Soft skills through career trainings geared towards preparing you for job applications & interviews, networking events and job fairs.
You will learn from experts in the industry to start a career in tech.

You are able to understand and speak English.
You can commit at least 10 hours a week (classes + self-study). 80% attendance of the course is required for graduation.
You are familiar with basic computer terminology.
You are confident with using a computer, creating files and folders.
You have interest in design.

Understand basic UX concepts from every stage of the design process.
Build and understand the context of a problem space.
Design and perform user interviews to dig deeper into user needs.
Define critical problem statements.
Identify what type of design methods to use at which stage of design, and how to look out for well-thought-through design.
Create a mobile app or a website concept from scratch and sketch a wireframe based on the user insights from their analysis.
Use Figma as a design tool and apply visual design principles to their designs.
Create a case study presentation explaining the design process and the final outcome.
Test their prototype using different paradigms.
