Course Overview

Take your coding skills to the next level with our Web Application Development using GenAI course. This hands-on course is designed for learners who already know the basics of programming and are ready to apply their skills to real projects.

Working in small teams, you’ll build and launch a proof-of-concept web application just like a real startup would, using modern frameworks, agile workflows, and AI-powered tools. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your coding expertise while developing collaboration and project management skills that match industry expectations for junior developers.

  •  In this course, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of:

    • Frontend Development: Build interactive user interfaces with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React.

    • Team-Based Project Workflows: Apply agile methods, sprint planning, and issue tracking to manage your project.

    • Grow as a Developer: Build confidence by giving demos, sharing progress, and keeping a short reflection log on what you’ve learned.

    • Version Control & Collaboration: Use GitHub for branching, pull requests, and peer reviews.

    • AI in Development: Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for coding, debugging, and testing while learning best practices for responsible use.

    Capstone Project: Collaborate with your team to design, build, and deploy a real-world proof-of-concept application.

    • You identify as: A woman or nonbinary.

    • You have a high level of English: Ensuring you can engage with course materials and team collaboration.

    • You have prior experience: You already know basic programming (including variables, loops, functions) and are ready to apply them to web development.

    • You are interested in: Becoming a Frontend Developer and exploring how AI can support modern coding practices.

    • You can commit: Commit to attending regularly and participating actively in at least 10 out of 12 classes.

    • Networking Events: Participate in networking events to connect with industry professionals, peers, and potential employers.

    • Career Coaching: Apply for a career coach to guide you in your professional journey and receive guidance from professionals in the IT industry.

    • Applying for a Career Coach: Receive guidance from a career coach to navigate your professional journey.

    • A Microsoft Certification: Earn a voucher to take the PL-300 certification exam, boosting your qualifications in the field of Data Analytics.

    • Career & Soft Skills Workshops: Participate in workshops designed to empower you and to improve your career readiness and soft skills.

    • ReDI Alumni Network: Become a part of the ReDI Alumni Network and the ReDI community.

    • SkillsBuild Self-paced eLearning: Utilize self-paced learning modules by IBM and ReDI School to further enhance your skills.

    • ReDI School Certification: Earn a ReDI School Certification if you attend 10 out of 12 classes.
