ReDI Career Track: Web Development

Course Overview

Join our 14-week advanced web development course to learn advanced Javascript and React. You learn by implementing playful and valuable projects. Join this advanced course to take a big step toward your career as a web developer.

  • 1. IDEs & Version Control with Git + GitHub

    2. JavaScript (Review)

    • Values, Types, and Operators

    • Program Structure

    • Functions

    • Data Structures: Objects and Arrays

    • Higher-order functions

    • ES6

    3. React (JavaScript component library)

    • Components and Props

    • State, Lifecycle & Handling Events

    • Lists & Key

    • Forms

    4. NodeJS

    5. TypeScript

    6. Other advanced tools (ExpressJS, Next.js…)

    7. Final Project

    Job Readiness: Soft skills through career trainings geared towards preparing you for job applications & interviews, networking events and job fairs.

    You will learn from experts in the industry to start a career in tech.

    • You can commit at least 10 hours a week (classes + self-study), 80% attendance of the course is required for graduation

    • You can commit at least 8 hours for career workshops or trainings during the semester

    • You are able to understand and speak English

    • You have experience in self-study

    • You have an understanding of JavaScript

  • Prepare yourself for this course with the following free online courses:

    Register on freeCodeCamp.org and complete the following modules:

    Create a codesandbox and complete the tutorial and Intro to React.

    • You have built websites with Javascript and React

    • You know how to start a website project

    • You are ready to apply for junior front-end developer positions.

    • You should expect to spend a minimum of 8 hours for career workshops or trainings during the semester.
