Course Overview

This course is designed to equip you with essential skills in Power BI and a basic understanding of Data Analytics. Through hands-on projects and real-world datasets, you'll learn how to extract valuable insights and make informed decisions using data.

  • Throughout this course, you will master the following skills:

    • Python Programming: Gain proficiency in Python, focusing on data handling and analysis.

    • Data Analysis: Learn how to analyze and interpret data to extract meaningful insights.

    • Data Manipulation: Acquire skills in manipulating data using tools like Pandas and SQL.

    • Data Wrangling: Clean and prepare data for analysis, ensuring its quality and relevance.

    • Data Visualization: Learn Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly to visualize findings, and use Power BI to create interactive reports and dashboards.

    • Critical Data Analysis and Communication: Develop skills to analyze data critically, draw actionable conclusions, and effectively communicate findings.

    • Version Control: Using Git to manage changes, collaborate, and track code and data workflows.

    • You identify as: A woman or nonbinary

    • You have a high level in English: Ensuring you can understand and engage with course materials.

    • You are digitally comfortable: You have a basic understanding of digital tools and technologies.

    • You have a high interest in: Data Analytics and programming and are eager to develop your coding skills.

    • You can commit: Commit to attending classes regularly and participating actively to at least 10 out of 12 classes.

    • You have basic understanding in Python: Alternatively, you are committed to taking a self-paced online course before semester starts.

    • Networking Events: Participate in networking events to connect with industry professionals, peers, and potential employers.

    • Career Coaching: Apply for a career coach to guide you in your professional journey and receive guidance from professionals in the IT industry.

    • Applying for a Career Coach: Receive guidance from a career coach to navigate your professional journey.

    • Career & Soft Skills Workshops: Participate in workshops designed to empower you and to improve your career readiness and soft skills.

    • ReDI Alumni Network: Become a part of the ReDI Alumni Network and the ReDI community.

    • SkillsBuild Self-paced eLearning: Utilize self-paced learning modules by IBM and ReDI School to further enhance your skills.

    • ReDI School Certification: Earn a ReDI School Certification if you attend 10 out of 12 classes.
