This course is designed to prepare you for the Microsoft SC-900 Security Fundamentals certification, enhancing your skills for a career in the dynamic field of cybersecurity.

  • Throughout this course, you will develop a solid understanding of the following areas:

    • Governance: Understand the policies, standards, and frameworks for effective cloud governance.

    • Resources & Services: Gain insights into managing and utilizing cloud resources and services.

    • Data, AI & IoT: Discover how data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things intersect with cybersecurity.

    • Networking: Study networking principles crucial for securing cloud environments.

    • Operational and Management Tooling: Get hands-on experience with tools used for cloud operations and security management.

    • Security: Delve into key security concepts including confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

    • DevOps: Learn about the integration of development and operations for secure and efficient application deployment.

    • Players in the Cybersecurity World: Identify key stakeholders and roles in the cybersecurity landscape.

    • Threats, Vulnerabilities, and Attacks: Understand common threats and vulnerabilities, and learn how to respond to various types of cyber attacks.

    • Protection of Confidentiality: Explore methods for ensuring data confidentiality.

    • Ensuring Integrity: Learn techniques to maintain and verify data integrity.

    • High Availability: Study strategies to ensure systems and data remain accessible.

    • Protecting Networks and Servers: Gain practical skills in securing network infrastructure and server environments.

    • Laws and Ethics: Understand the legal and ethical considerations in cybersecurity.

    • You identify as: A woman or nonbinary

    • You have a high level in English: Ensuring you can understand and engage with course materials.

    • You are digitally comfortable:  You have a basic understanding of digital tools and technologies.

    • You have a high interest in: Cybersecurity and are eager to learn about its applications.

    • You can commit: Commit to attending classes regularly and participating actively to at least 10 out of 12 classes.

    • Networking Events: Participate in networking events to connect with industry professionals, peers, and potential employers.

    • Career Coaching: Apply for a career coach to guide you in your professional journey and  receive guidance from professionals in the IT industry.

    • Career & Soft Skills Workshops: Participate in workshops designed to empower you and to improve your career readiness and soft skills.

    • ReDI Alumni Network: Become a part of the ReDI Alumni Network and the ReDI community.

    • SkillSBuild Self-paced Learning: Take advantage of self-paced learning modules provided by IBM and ReDI School.

    • ReDI School Certification: Earn a ReDI School Certification if you attend 10 out of 12 classes.

      These supplementary activities are designed to complement your learning, provide real-world exposure, help you build a strong network, and support your career growth in Cybersecurity.
